Capital Fund is proud to support the continued growth of Penobscot Community Health Center, Inc. (PCHC) through a loan approval in partnership with Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). This investment will finance the acquisition of a multi-building campus, including five main buildings and two additional outbuildings, strengthening PCHC’s operational footprint and long term sustainability.
PCHC has grown from a small, single site clinic into the leading Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving communities across Maine. Today, the origanization operates 19 clinical sites spanning across three counties and employs nearly 900 employees.
PCHC provides about 25 outpatient healthcare services, operates an emergency homeless shelter and 48 transitional housing units (“Hope House”), and runs an International Clubhouse model program that provides job training and community reintegration services to individuals with severe mental illness (“Clubhouse”). PCHC’s mission centers on providing comprehensive, integrated primary healthcare services to all patients, regardless of their circumstances.
