Capital Fund is thrilled to announce the recent closing of a significant loan that marks a new direction in our support for community health centers. Capital Fund has partnered with Collective Energy Company, LLC, based in Ojai, California, to finance a pioneering project that integrates solar energy solutions into the healthcare sector.
This $5 million loan will aid in the design and installation of state-of-the-art solar and energy storage systems at 23 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across multiple states, with initial installations in California. This initiative not only supports environmental sustainability but also ensures that health centers can continue to provide essential services without the burden of rising energy costs.
The solar systems will enable health centers to purchase power at rates equivalent to their current electrical expenses, with the option to buy the systems after six years. This not only ensures financial predictability but also contributes to significant environmental benefits.
This project serves as a model for future initiatives that aim to integrate sustainability into community health efforts. By reducing operational costs and minimizing environmental impact, Collective Energy is setting a new standard for how health services can contribute to a healthier planet.
